What does Hitch! Cost?
Credit card processing is provided at no cost to passengers. Taxi meter rates are uniform for all cabs in the District as published by the District of Columbia Taxicab Commission (DCTC). For details, click here: DCTC Standard Fares.

How do I use my Credit Card to pay for my cab fare?
Hitch! cabs accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Follow these three easy steps to use your credit card.
  • Step 1: The Swipe
    • Swipe your card anytime during your ride.
  • Step 2: The Tip
    • When you have reached your destination, select a tip amount and approve the transaction.
  • Step 3 (optional): The Receipt
    • If you would like a paper receipt, click print and the driver will hand you a receipt. 
    • If you prefer, enter your email address and we'll send you a digital receipt.


Can I pay with Cash?
Yes. All Hitch! drivers accept both cash and credit.
